We all know how important vitamin C is to strengthen the immune system. Guava does exactly that! It is packed with vitamin C, and shields you from common infections and pathogens. In fact, you’ll be surprised to know that guava contains almost two times more vitamin C than oranges!

In a study published in the Journal of Biological Regulators and Homeostatic Agents, it was found that guava has antimicrobial benefits that can kill bad bacteria, and viruses in your body.

Guava is rich in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that is effective in neutralising and lowering the cancer cells in your body. In a study conducted on animals and published in the journal Nutrition and Cancer, it was found that guava extract can prevent the growth of cancer cells.

Guava has a low glycemic index, which prevents your blood sugar levels from shooting up. Moreover, the high fibre content also ensures that blood sugar levels are in control.
