We know, there’s time for 31st December and you’ve not even decided your plan for the day just yet. However, it is never too early to start prepping your skin and aiming to glow more than the Christmas lights on New Year’s Eve.

Whether you are heading to a wild night of partying or simply staying at home with bae watching some web series, there’s no reason to not have great skin.

We’ve listed some natural New Year’s Eve party beauty tips that’ll let you shine as you count down to 2020.

1. Catch up on your beauty sleep
We’ll start with one of the best inexpensive tips for glowing skin. Nothing can be better for your skin than eight hours of sleep. And while we know it’s easier said than done, getting your sleep schedule on track, a week before, can really work wonders for you. If you are struggling to fall asleep, despite going to bed at a decent time, check out these science-approved hacks that’ll make you snooze.

2. Drink up
Water is another miracle cure to get rid of almost all of your skin problems. Ensure that you drink at least six glasses of water in a day so that your skin can flush out all those toxins before you step into 2020. Also, drinking an adequate amount of water can help boost your metabolism.

3. Massage away your under-eye bags
Buying an under-eye cream for those bags under your eyes seem like an easy solution, but why not use a more natural solution instead? Your fingers. Yes, you read that right. Use your fingers to massage your under-eye area to stimulate blood circulation and minimise fine lines.

Here’s what you’ve got to do every day before sleeping: use your ring finger to gently press your under-eye skin, moving from the inner corners of your eye to the outer corner. Repeat this two to three times. Thank us later!

4. Exfoliate
The best way to get rid of dry, flaky skin is by exfoliating. Use a natural scrub like coffee beans and sugar mixed with oil to gently massage on your skin. This not just helps open clogged pores and reduce acne, but also allows your skin to absorb moisture more easily. Do this three times a week to see results.

5. Consume good fats
Your diet shows the most on your skin. You need to add some healthy fats to your diet to allow your skin to glow on the party night. Include flaxseed, avocado, and coconut oil in your diet and stay away from processed foods that are high in trans fats.

Juicing is also a great way to help your body flush out toxins. It is advisable to get on a juice cleanse only after talking to a nutritionist so that you don’t cause any harm to your system.

6. Make a home-made peel
Once a week, give your skin the TLC (total love and care for everyone who has been living under a rock) it so desperately needs. While home-made masks are great, why not try making a home-made peel this time? Take 2 tsp of baking soda, mix it with 1 tsp of water and squeeze a little lemon juice. Apply it to your face and wait for five minutes before rinsing it with water.
